The Forth Ceilidh band is the product of over 20 years experience playing at ceilidh events. David the band leader started off as part of the Wullie Fraser Ceilidh band, an Edinburgh based band that emerged out of popular demand playing for charity events and university student ceilidhs initially while studying in St Andrews.

The band soon started playing for friends weddings, which led in turn to further ceilidh events around Fife, Edinburgh and beyond, eventually travelling all over the world for burns nights and st Andrews nights, including locations as diverse as China, Estonia, Kuwait, Czech Republic, France, Indonesia and Croatia, often partnering with embassies and the Scottish government. Wullie Fraser moved on from the band after getting married in 2019 and the name changed to the Forth Ceilidh Band. The band lineup has evolved and expanded including other musicians such as Ewan Galloway, Fraser Richardson, and Scott Leslie among others. All of these musicians will sometimes play with David in the Forth ceilidh band depending on the line up required.
The Forth ceilidh band is now one of the most experienced professional ceilidh bands playing regularly in the Fife, Edinburgh and Dundee areas and available to play for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and school events throughout Scotland and beyond. Check out the different options we offer
